This initiative ensures good health for learners as we plant vegetables for their nutrition.
We also sell the vegetables to members of the community, thereby contributing towards general well being of the community.
Collect - A - Can
The school participates in a Collect - A - Can in order to augment the funds allocated by the government
Challenges
The school is situated in an area where access road poses challenges during rainy days. The school has been built in 1972 by community members and is in a state of serious dilapidation, posing a hazard to the school community. The situation has been worsened by storm having damaged a block of classrooms in 2012 and no assistance has been received.
The school requires new blocks of classrooms, administration block, hall, and fencing to accommodate the over 600 learners enrolled here. There are no playgrounds for learners to effectively engage in extra-mural activities. There is security challenges as the school is regularly vandalised by thieves more especially during vacations. The classrooms are not well ventilated due to the nature of the buildings. There is no library in which both educators and learners can access extra learning/teaching resources.
